Alex K. Masse is a writer, musician, and communications specialist from what is colonially known as Vancouver, BC. Their work has been seen everywhere from Vancouver Fringe Festival to Autostraddle, as well as in collaboration with Penelope Scott, Simon Fraser University, and more. They’re also a neurodivergent nonbinary lesbian, which greatly affects their process.

For Alex, art is a means of expression and connection, both with themself and others in their community. When not writing, they’re making music, and when not making music, they’re writing. Occasionally, though, they can be seen cozied up with their cat.

Alex has been a musical performer since 2013, starting as a concert band ensemble flautist that occasionally dabbled in jazz and folk. Their solo performing career started in 2020. Since then, they’ve performed at a number of exciting events, including Vancouver Fringe Festival, UBC’s Pride Picnic, and Vancouver Pride. They also did an online performance for Gender Equality New York on Transgender Day of Visiblity!
